Mallorca is with 3.604 km2 the largest island belonging to spain and the balearic Islands, it lies in the Mediterranean and east of mainland Spain.

Mallorca is the capital of the Balearic Islands "Palma" which is also the largest municipality on Mallorca and also the seat of the autonomous government of the Balearic Islands.

The official languages of Mallorca are Mallorquin (a dialect of Catalan) and Castillian (Spanish).

Llucmajor, where we have settled our way is the second largest municipality of Mallorca, followed as the third largest municipality  of Manacor.

Mallorca has about 874 000 inhabitants, of which about 80 000 English and German residents.
